I am looking into transferring to AUA from MUA because MUA although states they are disability friendly.. clearly are not. I would like to transfer to a school where my partner can also go (he is in a wheelchair). MUA is not wheelchair accessible but AUA is. I am wondering if anyone can give me any information on residencies and how AUA grads match especially in Canada since that is where we are looking to head back to eventually. Does anyone have any experience with couples match? Completing electives or residencies in Canada?
A little background information, I am a registered nurse in Canada leaving in Jan to start at MUA. 3.4 gap avg and over 1100hrs clinical rotations in a variety of specialties for schooling not including my full time job in general surgery. My partner has a 3.9 GPA and that is the least impressive part of his resume so I am not worried about getting into the school.. moreso worried about what happens once we leave the school.
